Our Story in America

Where it all began

Avant Tecno USA: Built for growth in north america

After establishing a strong presence across Europe, Avant Tecno expanded its operations to the United States in May 2012, opening a modest 5,400-square-foot facility in Elk Grove Village, Illinois. It didn’t stay modest for long.

As demand for Avant’s innovative compact loaders grew, the company quickly outgrew its original location. In the summer of 2014, Avant Tecno USA moved to a larger facility in Arlington Heights, Illinois, establishing what has become the center of its North American operations and home to the largest inventory of Avant loaders and attachments in the world.

The Chicagoland area has proven to be an ideal home for Avant USA. Its central location, highly skilled workforce and access to major highway, rail, air and water transportation networks provide an important foundation for supporting customers and dealers throughout North America.

What began as a small U.S. operation has grown into a team of approximately 30 employees supporting sales, service, parts, logistics, marketing, business development, finance and day-to-day operations across the United States, Canada and Mexico. Together with a growing network of dealers and regional sales professionals, Avant USA is bringing a different approach to compact equipment to customers across the continent.

A Category of Its Own

North America has long been skid-steer country. As a uniquely American invention, the skid steer has become one of the most familiar and widely used pieces of compact equipment on the market.

Avant was designed differently.

Rather than trying to be another skid steer, the Avant articulated loader combines a compact footprint with impressive lifting capacity, a telescopic boom, articulated steering and an extensive range of attachments. Its design delivers exceptional maneuverability and versatility while minimizing surface damage—allowing operators to take on more jobs in places where larger, heavier equipment may not be the right fit.

That difference has been central to Avant USA’s mission from the beginning.

While articulated compact loaders have been well established in Europe for decades, the concept is still relatively new to many North American equipment owners and operators. Once customers experience the combination of a high lift-to-weight ratio, low surface impact, telescopic reach, articulation and attachment versatility, the advantages become clear.

From landscaping and tree care to agriculture, property maintenance, construction, municipalities and beyond, Avant gives professionals the ability to accomplish more with one highly versatile machine.

More than a decade after arriving in the United States, Avant USA continues to grow—but the mission remains the same: introduce North American customers to a smarter, more versatile way to work.
