Charging alternatives for electric loaders

Choose the right charging method for your electric Avant loader depending on how and when you use the loader.

First, consider where the loader will operate and how quickly you need to charge it. The standard equipment supports slower charging, while fast charging requires optional equipment. For lighter use, the loader’s on-board 3 kW charger is sufficient. For demanding professional applications, however, we recommend rapid charging, either with the optional on-board 9 kW charger or with Avant’s DC rapid charging station.

Onboard charging

Charging with standard equipment, 3 kW

As standard, Avant electric loaders are equipped with an internal 3 kW charger and a 1-phase Schuko <–> Type 2 charging cable (230 V) that lets you charge your loader with 3 kW power.

Charging with optional charger, 9 kW

With an optional 9 kW onboard charger (product number: A475136) you can charge your loader about three times faster than with a standard 3 kW charger. The charging power and speed is practically the same as that of Avant’s 400 V / 16 A rapid charging station. To reach the maximum charging capacity of the 9 kW on-board charger, you need one of the following max 9 kW charging options

Charging with Avant’s DC rapid charging station

A good alternative for demanding professional use and rapid charging during a workday. Requires an optional rapid charging inlet on the loader (product number: A464123).

Two models are available: The 400 V / 16 A rapid charging station, and the more powerful 400 V / 32 A model that charges your Avant e500 and e700 series loaders in just over an hour in optimum conditions.

The DC rapid charging station has two fixed cables. One is connected to the loader and the other to a 3-phase socket (either 16 A or 32 A, depending on the power of the rapid charging station).
