MBE Tom McEwen announced as Equestrian Ambassador for Avant Tecno
Manufacturer of compact multi-functional loaders, Avant Tecno, are proud to announce that double Olympic gold medallist Tom McEwen MBE has joined the brand as its Equestrian Ambassador.
The partnership brings together world-class sporting performance and industry-leading machinery, united by a shared commitment to efficiency in equestrian activities.
The collaboration will focus on practical, real-world applications of Avant loaders and attachments across professional equestrian yards throughout the UK.
“As one of Britain’s most respected event riders, Tom McEwen represents precision, consistency and performance under pressure – the very qualities that define our Avant loaders. With Tom as an Avant Ambassador, we will be sharing behind-the-scenes yard content and practical demonstrations from Tom, highlighting how Avant machinery supports smarter, more productive equestrian operations” says Raimo Ala-Korpi, Managing Director of Avant Tecno UK.
Tom McEwen, a former world number one, continues to deliver outstanding international results, including individual bronze at the European Championships with JL Dublin and the 7-Year-Old World Championship title with Brookfield Danny De Muze.
Based in Gloucestershire, he was awarded an MBE in 2021 for services to equestrian sport following his Olympic team gold medal success.
“We use the Avant pretty much every single day; it’s become a core part of how we run the yard. It makes a huge difference to everything we do, from moving muck and hay to handling larger bales – all tasks that can be especially challenging in UK yards where space is limited. With costs rising across the board, having equipment that genuinely improves productivity makes a real difference – Avant loaders simply get on with the job” says Tom McEwen.
Founded in Finland in 1991, Avant Tecno are the world’s first producer of the compact loader – a multi-functional machine built to tackle a wide range of tasks with ease and efficiency.
With over 200 purpose-built attachments, Avant loaders can transform efficiency and safety across equestrian yards, liveries and paddocks.
“Our loaders are built to handle demanding daily workloads and there is no better environment to demonstrate that than at the top level of the sport. We are proud to now be supporting Tom McEwen and his team through this partnership as they continue to perform at the highest level!” concludes Raimo.
