Once a lead form inquiry is received by our sales team, one of our product specialists or sales managers will reach out directly to discuss the nature of the lead in further detail and answer any technical or financial-related questions the end user might have. From there, the inquiry is sent to the local dealer with all pertinent details from the initial conversation. The local dealer will reach out to schedule the demo with the end user. All demos must be properly pre-qualified (applications/machine size/credit worthy).
The turnaround time will vary. Some end users want a demo ASAP; either because they have an immediate need to purchase a machine or a particular job is coming up and they would really like to try it on that specific jobsite. Other times, the purchasing timeframe and desire to add an Avant to their fleet is long-term. Either way, the Avant sales team and our dealer network do our very best to accommodate these varied scheduling requests. We would recommend 2–3 weeks advance notice due to how we plan our schedules in advance. Of course, this changes daily and we adjust accordingly based on priorities and end users schedules/availability.
No two demos are the same, which is why each individual conversation is tailored to the needs of the end user. Because we offer more than 200 different attachments for a number of different applications, we take a consultative approach in helping end-users decide how Avant can most effectively benefit their business needs. From there, we can ensure we are bringing the right machines and attachments to every demo. We are the experts, and our job is to educate the customer as to which models and attachments is the best investment and offers the most productivity for their business moving forward.
We rely on the local dealer to provide the loader and attachments for every demo; however, if they do not have a particular Avant model or attachment that is needed, we will see what we have in inventory at our corporate headquarters just outside of Chicago and try our best to accommodate the specific needs for each demo. Typically, one unit and 3–4 attachments maximum based on our truck/trailer size and capabilities.
Demos are conducted pretty much everywhere and anywhere – on the jobsite, at the local dealer, in our parking lot and demo field, downtown in cities, in private backyards, the list goes on. As long as we have a clear idea of the specific layout and what is needed, we can accommodate most location requests. The most effective demos are done on the customer’s jobsites in “real world” applications to show the true benefits of the Avant loaders and attachments.
Unfortunately, Avant cannot leave any demo units or attachments behind with the end user. However, it is up to the dealer discretion as to whether or not they would leave their inventory with qualified buyers for any additional period of time.
Yes! However, the full and finalized transaction needs to be run through the local dealer.
