Forestry mulcher is intended for clearing bushes, brushwood and similar vegetation. It can also cut and crush small trees and grind small tree stumps – above ground level. The mulcher features direct hydraulic drive: a hydraulic motor is mounted on the rotor which is equipped with crushing and mulching type carbide teeth.
There is a hydraulically operated hood in front of the rotor. With the hood open it is possible to cut down standing trees and brush. This way the wooden material goes better in the rotor and does not bend under the mulcher before it cuts. When the hood is closed it prevents material from ejecting and improves mulching.
The mulcher is equipped with a horizontal push bar in the front. It guides the material that is being cut, and the push bar can also be used for moving and turning fallen trees and branches if needed.
Support skid shoes and adjustable counterblades in the rear and in the front are also standard equipment. Knife type cutting blades are available as an option, as well as a hydraulic oil cooler for very demanding conditions. Operation of the hydraulic oil cooler requires the optional Opticontrol® on the loader.
An enclosed cab (GT, DLX or LX) is mandatory on the loader when working with the forestry mulcher, due to the risk of material ejecting from the mulcher.
